Overview
We are seeking a skilled Barista / Prep Cook to join our team at a vibrant bakery and coffee shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Barista:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages
- Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and coffee shop
- Assist customers with menu selection and provide recommendations
- Uphold high standards of quality control for all beverages served
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service
Prep Cook:
-Wash, chop, and measure ingredients according to recipes and specific prep lists.
-Prepare menu items like sandwiches and salads, and assist with other food preparation needs.
-Keep work stations, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Experience
- Previous experience in a coffee shop preferred
- Familiarity with Square POS or similar POS systems is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and practices
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling transactions efficiently
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation rules
- Strong organizational skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 18 per week
