Job Summary
• Participants in pre-referral consultation regarding speech and language concerns as part of the Student Success Team and member of School Assessment Team. • Make referrals for special education assessments when appropriate. • Conducts full diagnostic assessment of speech, language, voice, and fluency for initial and triennial assessments, as needed. • Designs and implements individualized educational programs for students with speech and language eligibility. • Maintains student records, attendance accounting and pupil progress records. • Coordinates services and case manages students. • Organizes and directs social pragmatic student groups and other interventions as needed. • Attends staff meeting as designated. • Coordinates and conducts all IEP meetings to follow all legal timelines and eligibility guidelines to maintain IEP compliance. • Ensures words, actions and duties support an inclusive environment for all students, adults and community members, where equality is paramount. QUALIFICATIONS: a. Knowledge of: • Assessment and intervention practices with Autism Spectrum Disorders, desirable. b. Ability to: • Demonstrate successful working experience with exceptional students and their families. • Demonstrate knowledge of current theory and instructional practices. • Demonstrate strong organizational and management skills. • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing. • Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information. • Manage a flexible work schedule to provide optimum services necessary to be successful in this position. • Be a positive representative for the District. • Work closely with a team of professionals in a collaborative

• Possession of current appropriate California credentials or License. • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology desirable.
