Role Description
We are seeking a PA/NP to join our team at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. This is a full-time on-site role where you will be responsible for providing high-quality pulmonary and respiratory care to patients. Key responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Nurse Practitioner will also play an integral role in delivering patient education and ensuring compliance with best practices in critical care settings.
Qualifications — PA / NP (Pulmonary Medicine)
• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• Current NJ PA/NP licensure with NCCPA or ANCC/AANP certification
• DEA and CDS license (or eligibility)
• 1 year clinical experience in pulmonary, critical care, or hospital medicine preferred
• Competence in evaluation and management of common pulmonary conditions (COPD, asthma, ILD, pneumonia, PE, lung nodules)
• Familiarity with PFTs, ABGs, chest imaging, and oxygen/ventilation strategies
• Ability to assist with or learn pulmonary procedures (thoracentesis, chest tubes, bronchoscopy support)
• BLS and ACLS required
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex respiratory disease in inpatient and outpatient settings
