Responsibilities
- Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently to maintain lawns and landscaped areas
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, edging, mulching, and shrubbery care
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Identify various plants, trees, and pests to support healthy landscape growth and pest management strategies
- Conduct groundskeeping duties such as debris removal, snow plowing during winter months, and hardscape maintenance
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling equipment and chemicals like pesticides or fertilizers
- Assist with tree trimming, hedge shaping, and other horticultural tasks to enhance landscape aesthetics
Requirements
- Previous outdoor work experience or background in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of lawn care and landscaping equipment operation
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture practices, and pesticide management is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and grounds maintenance equipment safely
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments
