What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Technician-Emergency Department position at Shore Medical Center?
Position Summary
Emergency Room Technician-To provide direct, basic patient care under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse. To provide care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment and the transportation of patients, supplies and equipment.
Minimum Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Patient care experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to walk and stand or extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Nursing Program
• Previous experience working in an Emergency Department
• Phlebotomy and EKG certified
Salary Range: $17.68 - $25.02 (based on experience)
