Village Super Market, dba ShopRite Pharmacy, is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Pharmacy Manager to join our team! We offer stable scheduling, adequate technician support and ancillary assistance, and a desirable work environment.
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring safe and effective medication use, regulatory compliance with all legal and professional standards, and high-quality patient care. This role leads pharmacy staff, manages inventory and workflow, and works closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all pharmacy operations, including dispensing, immunizations, MTM, compounding, and counseling
- Ensure compliance and adhere with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
- Ensure compliance and adhere with all company policies and procedures
- Oversee and train technicians and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and medication storage
- Monitor pharmacy performance, budgets, and productivity metrics
- Ensure safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications
- Review and interpret prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
Experience and Skills Required:
- Must be a licensed pharmacist
- Strong knowledge of medications, regulations and patient safety protocols
- Experience supervising pharmacy technicians or pharmacists.
- Experience managing daily pharmacy operations.
- Familiarity with inventory systems, controlled substance management, and workflow optimization.
- Understanding of insurance processes, prior authorizations, and third‑party billing.
- Experience preparing for audits and ensuring compliance.
- Experience resolving customer issues.
- Ability to maintain high-quality patient care and safety.
- Ability to motivate, train, and develop team members.
- Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
- Strong delegation and accountability management.
