Duties
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational objectives.
- Prepare and interpret complex financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards such as IAS, IFRS, GAAP, ASC 606, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow management, investment management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Lead risk management initiatives by conducting risk analysis and implementing appropriate controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Supervise general ledger accounting, cost accounting, and account reconciliation processes to maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion of financial statement preparation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop strategic financial plans aligned with organizational goals; advise senior leadership on fiscal implications of business development initiatives.
- Oversee compliance management related to governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices where applicable.
- Utilize financial software for data analysis, reporting automation, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy across all functions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate finance, governmental or non-profit accounting with a strong understanding of IFRS, IAS, GAAP standards.
- Extensive knowledge of financial concepts including risk analysis, cost control, revenue management, investment management, and budget forecasting.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas such as ASC 606 revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and compliance management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in financial software systems; experience with balance sheet reconciliation tools is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills for preparing detailed financial reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly desirable.
