About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Credit Repair Director to lead our credit improvement division and oversee all operations related to client credit restoration. This role requires a strong understanding of credit laws, compliance requirements, dispute processes, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in managing credit repair teams, optimizing workflows, and driving client results while ensuring full regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage Operations:
Oversee daily operations of the credit repair department, including dispute processing, client communication, quality control, and performance management.
- Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement department strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
- Compliance Oversight:
Ensure compliance with all credit-related regulations, including FCRA, FDCPA, CROA, and state-specific laws.
- Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate credit repair specialists and support staff. Set clear KPIs and performance expectations.
- Client Experience Management:
Oversee end-to-end client lifecycle to ensure timely updates, transparent communication, and high satisfaction ratings.
- Dispute Management:
Guide the creation and review of dispute letters, escalation processes, and bureau/creditor follow-up strategies.
- Reporting & Analytics:
Track department performance, analyze results, and provide regular reporting to executive leadership.
- Process Improvement:
Identify gaps and implement solutions to streamline operations, enhance automation, and improve client outcomes.
- Partnership Development:
Support partnerships with lenders, financial institutions, and affiliate programs that complement the company’s credit offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in credit repair or credit operations; 2 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of FCRA, CROA, FDCPA, and credit bureau processes.
- Proven experience leading teams and driving performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- High integrity and commitment to compliance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with credit repair software platforms (e.g., DisputeFox, Credit Repair Cloud, ScoreCEO).
- Knowledge of debt settlement, lending, or financial services.
- Experience building or scaling a credit repair department.
