Job Title: Project Engineer (Packaging)
Location: Bloomington, IN (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Overview:
Seeking Project Engineers with packaging background to support installation, upgrade, and optimization of packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role involves hands-on shop floor work, equipment troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical) or relevant technical degree
- 5 years of Project Engineering experience
- 2 years in regulated industry (Pharma preferred, Food/Beverage acceptable)
- Strong experience with packaging equipment (cappers, bottle unscramblers, change parts)
- Hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, and improving packaging lines
- Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks or Creo)
- Knowledge of packaging processes and equipment optimization
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and upgrade packaging equipment including cappers and bottle unscramblers
- Modify and improve existing packaging systems and components
- Troubleshoot and streamline packaging line operations
- Coordinate with internal teams for production updates and maintenance activities
- Support design and development of packaging components using CAD
- Perform on-floor engineering support and ensure smooth operations
- Participate in project meetings and provide status updates
