CMM Loader / Operator

CMM Loaders and Operators are essential to the smooth execution of automated inspection routines in aerospace machining. This role focuses on preparing and running coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) using pre-established programs. It’s ideal for individuals who are hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to learn precision inspection techniques. No programming required—just a commitment to following standard work and ensuring parts are properly loaded and measured.

Responsibilities:

• Load probes, fixtures, and parts into the CMM following visual guides.
• Run pre-written CMM programs and exchange parts between cycles.
• Follow standard work instructions and report any anomalies.
• Ability to identify and correct simple setup errors.
• Interpret CMM output data and escalate quality issues.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Basic equipment handling and adherence to SOPs.
• Use of hand tools for fixture setup.
• Familiarity with CMM software interface (e.g., PC-DMIS).Familiarity with CMM software interface (e.g., PC-DMIS).
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 10360, and GD&T is preferred.
