The Manager, Revenue Cycle Applications Will
- Manage day-to-day activities of Information Technology staff to set priorities and optimize Revenue Cycle Systems in collaboration with IT and Operational Leadership.
- Understand technology trends and government initiatives related to healthcare and business operations.
- Work closely with the Director of Clinical Applications, Manager Clinical Applications and operational peers to develop the Revenue Cycle Information Strategic Plan.
- Interface with leadership to identify business and financial information needs to support overall operations of the lines of services supported.
- Interview, select, counsel, mentor, and evaluate performance of direct reports and related resources.
- Maintain confidentiality of clinical and personnel information in keeping with policies of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
- Demonstrate effective problem solving and willingness to adapt to a changing environment.
- Maintain open, productive communication with the IT Leadership and representatives throughout the organization.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff and operational counterparts to ensure timely, relevant dissemination of information, identification of concerns, and active problem solving of pertinent issues.
- Promote and maintains positive, productive partnerships inter- and intradepartmental to encourage effective collaboration. Provides consultation related to processes and financial information systems.
- Manage projects utilizing the standard project management methodologies, monitors systems, analyzes processes, evaluates outcomes, and recommends revisions.
- Ensure that appropriate systems are in place to support the revenue cycle staff.
- Responsible for contributing to the development of short and long range goals consistent with the mission, vision, and values.
- Integrate appropriate business and financial practice standards when planning and implementing systems.
- Understand the business fundamentals and drivers of the financial and operational success of the organization.
- Participate in the development and revises policies and procedures related to the financial information systems.
- Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
- Reports directly to the Director of IT and Clinical Application
- Cerner Revenue Cycle Experience required, with a strong background in Patient Accounting preferred.
- Degree in information systems (e.g., Computer Science) or or realated field. Education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree when the experience directly relates to the job requirements.
- Minimum 5 years' experience with managing Revenue cycle applications.
- Strong management and team development skills.
- Deep understanding of and experience with applications development lifecycle and development methodologies.
- Deep analytical skills needed to prioritize team's work, quantify project costs and benefits and make trade-offs while implementation IS application software.
- Ability to lead IT and business user teams to successfully install /configure and maintain information systems.
- Ability to communicate with a broad set of individuals including SRAlab executives, clinical staff, subordinate staff, and technical staff.
- Excellent relationship-managing skills within IT and with Operational Counterparts.
- Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
