What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Shiretown Solutions?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Dispatcher to coordinate and manage transportation services for clients requiring non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). The Dispatcher will monitor trips, assign drivers, answer calls from drivers and providers, and ensure efficient and timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers to medical appointments and other designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, prioritize, and schedule trip requests from clients or third-party systems (e.g., brokers).
- Assign and dispatch drivers based on availability, location, and client needs.
- Monitor trips in real-time to ensure on-time performance and adjust routes or schedules as needed.
- Maintain constant communication with drivers to address changes, delays, or emergencies.
- Use dispatch software to log all trip data, update statuses, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with clients and healthcare facilities to confirm appointment times and transportation needs.
- Ensure compliance with company protocols and relevant transportation regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and incidents professionally and promptly.
- Work closely with the billing and administrative team to verify completed trips and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and driver hours to ensure service coverage.
- Must have open and flexible availability

Base Pay: $700.00 per week
