Job Summary
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, employee records, and compliance with prevailing wage requirements for applicable projects. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll administration while supporting HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, and policy compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll using ADP and related systems.
· Maintain accurate employee time records and verify project coding.
· Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and company standards for all applicable projects.
· Review and reconcile payroll reports, including employer contributions and benefit changes.
· Manage employee onboarding, terminations, and updates in HR systems.
· Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and HR policies.
· Prepare and submit required payroll and compliance reports to management and regulatory agencies.
Required Skills & Abilities
· Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP preferred) and HR processes.
· Familiarity with prevailing wage regulations and reporting requirements.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field a plus.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll and HR administration.
· Experience with construction and prevailing wage projects..
Working Conditions
Office-based role with standard working hours (Monday–Friday).
Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
