Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (preferred)

Travel: 25–40% | Shift: Day

Objective


The Franchise Business Coach supports and advises franchisees to help drive strong operations, consistent execution, and profitable growth across the Shipley Do-Nuts system.

This role partners closely with franchisees and internal teams to ensure brand standards are met, initiatives are executed, and each shop is set up for long-term success.


What You’ll Do


Support Franchisee Success

  • Serve as the primary partner for a group of franchisees within an assigned territory
  • Build strong relationships and provide hands-on coaching to improve performance
  • Conduct regular shop visits and business reviews to support operational and financial results
  • Help franchisees identify opportunities and create action plans to drive improvement

Drive Operations & Brand Standards

  • Ensure all shops consistently follow brand standards, SOPs, and food safety guidelines
  • Support execution of the Shipley operating model across all locations
  • Address operational challenges quickly and effectively
  • Partner with franchise owners/operators to maintain a high-quality guest experience

Execute Programs & Initiatives

  • Support rollout and execution of new products, promotions, and operational programs
  • Ensure franchisee participation in company initiatives and campaigns
  • Partner with Marketing, Training, Supply Chain, and other teams to drive results
  • Help track progress and ensure initiatives are implemented effectively in the field

Performance & Accountability

  • Monitor shop performance and key business metrics
  • Use data to guide conversations and drive accountability with franchisees
  • Support development and follow-through of action plans
  • Help ensure deadlines and commitments are met

  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations and what drives profitability
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work with a variety of personalities
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple locations and priorities
  • Problem-solver with a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset
  • Self-starter with a strong drive to deliver results


Reporting

Reports into Operations Leadership.


Work Environment

Field-based role with regular time spent in shops supporting franchisees.


Travel

Frequent travel required (up to 75%) within assigned territory.


Experience

  • 3–5 years of restaurant, franchise, or multi-unit operations experience
  • Quick service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience working with or supporting franchisees is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
