Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Scrub Nurse role based in St Louis, MO. The Scrub Nurse will work within the operating room team, preparing the surgical environment, organizing and sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available for each procedure. The role includes assisting surgeons during operations by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and monitoring adherence to safety and infection control protocols. The Scrub Nurse will collaborate closely with circulating nurses, anesthesiology, and surgical staff to support efficient workflows and high-quality patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include documenting intraoperative care, participating in pre- and post-operative coordination, and following hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications
- Strong clinical foundation in Nursing and Medicine to provide safe and effective perioperative patient care.
- Experience supporting Surgery and Operating Room procedures, including maintaining aseptic technique and sterile fields.
- Knowledge of Orthopedic Surgery or other surgical specialties, with the ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous experience as a Scrub Nurse or in perioperative nursing in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) or willingness to obtain is beneficial.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and situational awareness skills, with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple procedures, and adapt to changing clinical priorities.
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
