ELearning Content Development Coordinator at SHIFT
SHIFT is an HR Compliance and Workplace Culture Training company delivering eLearning products to HR departments, executives, management teams, and employees worldwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented, learner-focused, and collaborative Content Development Coordinator to support the creation and maintenance of high-quality training products.
The eLearning Content Development Coordinator plays a critical role in the content lifecycle by supporting research, content creation, documentation, quality assurance, and organization of all instructional materials. This role is based in Chatham, NJ. The eLearning Content Development Coordinator helps ensure that SHIFT’s learning products meet industry standards, remain accurate and current, and provide an engaging and meaningful learner experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Development Support
- Conduct research to support content accuracy, compliance updates, industry trends, and learning design needs
- Assist in drafting scripts, lesson content and course narrative
- Source, evaluate, and organize media assets including images, video and graphics
- Develop and maintain all content documentation, including:
- Course descriptions
- Learning objectives
- Outlines
- Storyboards
- Scripts and transcripts
- Learner tools
Creative & Instructional Support
- Collaborate with the content team to support the development of new course concepts, features, and enhancements
- Assist in structuring content to align with adult learning principles and e-learning best practices
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new product ideas and content upgrades
Quality Assurance
- Perform content QA to ensure accuracy, clarity, tone consistency, and instructional alignment
- Validate that all materials meet SHIFT’s editorial standards, compliance guidelines
Content Operations & Administrative Support
- Maintain organized, accurate content libraries, documentation, and version control
- Support project coordination by updating status trackers and communicating progress as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks essential to the content development process
Collaboration & Communication
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement
- Communicate clearly with internal teams to ensure alignment and timely deliverables
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar and narrative structure
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to review content with strong attention to detail and quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable learning and using new systems and digital tools
- Comfortable and proficient using AI-powered content and productivity tools
- Experience with any of the following is a plus (not required):
- Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other collaboration tools
- Basic understanding of instructional design or e-learning development processes
- Background or exposure to Learning & Development, instructional design, or training environments is a plus
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
