Position Overview:

Shields Health Solutions is looking for a motivated Associate Data Analyst to join our Financial Analytics team, reporting directly to the Manager of Financial Analytics. This entry-level role is your chance to make an impact by managing key reporting updates and building dynamic dashboards using Tableau, Excel, and our enterprise data warehouse—all to drive organizational performance.

As an Associate Data Analyst, you’ll collaborate across departments, deliver insightful analyses, and tackle ad hoc reporting projects that uncover valuable business insights. You’ll have the opportunity to recommend process improvements, automate workflows, and partner with internal teams to enhance efficiency. This role offers high visibility across the corporate team and direct interaction with key business leaders—perfect for someone eager to grow and learn.

What We’re Looking For:
A detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for turning data into actionable insights. Familiarity with Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, and experience with Python or R is a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage weekly and monthly reporting updates with precision and accuracy
• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and Excel reports
• Identify and resolve reporting gaps and bugs proactively
• Recommend enhancements to reporting processes and business workflows
• Automate reporting processes to streamline analysis
• Communicate new ideas and improvements for tracking business performance
• Document systems, reporting, and data processes for future reference
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and collaborate to resolve them
• Support team and organizational goals with flexibility and enthusiasm

Skills & Requirements:

• 0–2 years of experience in data analytics or a related role
• Familiarity with Tableau, Tableau Prep, or similar tools
• Ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Highly motivated, results-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-service oriented, adaptable, and collaborative
• Experience with Python or R is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Finance, Business Administration, or Computer Science
• Relevant coursework or internships in data analysis are a plus

Location:

Boston-based role with a Hybrid Schedule

Compensation & Benefits:

• An employee in this position can expect a salary rate between $75,000 and $90,000 plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable. The actual salary will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
