Job Description: Position Summary The Vice President of Strategic Decision Support is a key member of the Shields Health executive team, responsible for leading all budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, analytics, and decision support. This role requires exceptional leadership, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. The VP of Strategic Decision Support will drive financial performance, manage risk, and support long-term growth while fostering a high-performing, business-savvy team. Core Responsibilities: Financial Leadership & Strategy Partner with the CFO and Executive Leadership Team to shape financial strategies that support growth, diversification, and long-term sustainability. Ensure ethical standards in managing sensitive and confidential information. Responsible for annual budget and monthly forecasting for a network of 50 joint venture partnerships Collaborate cross functionally with operations and support services to achieve strategic business objectives Support & Analytics Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional analytics and business intelligence team. Design scalable infrastructure for reporting, forecasting, and insight generation, leveraging AI/machine learning, data science, and sophisticated analytics. Serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership by delivering actionable insights, forecasting, and performance diagnostics. Facilitate performance tracking, value realization, and executive-level reporting. Cultivate a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving across the finance and analytics functions. Critical Thinking & Communication Apply advanced problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and recommend innovative, practical solutions. Present financial strategies and performance findings to diverse audiences with clarity and influence. Demonstrate creativity, diplomacy, and resourcefulness in negotiating and motivating others to achieve desired outcomes. Continuously check industry’s best practices and introduce enhancements that improve financial operations and strategic decision-making. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred. Experience Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial management experience. Strategic consulting, transaction advisory or healthcare finance background a plus. Proven track record of leading finance and analytics functions in complex organizations. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and applicable state regulatory environments. Demonstrated ability to transform data into insights and insights into strategy. Additional Job Description: The salary range for this position is $250,000-$350,000 bonus incentive benefits.
