What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Engineer position at Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc.?

Basic Requirements
- Five (5) years’ experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) additional years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Sybase ASE and PostgreSQL, with specific experience with database migrations.
- Demonstrated experience with developing migration strategies, migration tool selection and use, schema conversion, code refactor, performance optimization, test, and validation.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (Relational Database Services, Simple Storage Service) also required.
