The Operating Systems, Networking, and Cyber (ONC) team is an agile group of engineers focused on developing the software that merges hardware, system software and application software for cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). ONC engineers work with electrical engineers, systems engineers, test engineers and the autonomy software team to design and develop custom avionics which support modern aerospace sensors, state-of-the-art UAV avionics applications, simulation systems and groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence applications.
As a member of the ONC team, you will be responsible for testing and verifying new system software features and functionality which provide flight control, navigation, vehicle health, and AI driven autonomous control of various robotic vehicles.
PROJECTS YOU MIGHT WORK ON:
Develop Python software which automatically tests and verifies avionics software in the CI/CD pipeline
Develop stand-alone and automated Python testing software working in a SIL/HIL environment
Develop software and firmware to interface and control test support hardware
Develop software to analyze and report test and verification scenarios

What You'll Do
- Participate in development, test, and verification of system software from requirements generation through delivery to customers
- Research, design, and implement state-of-the-art system software test applications, taking ideas from conception to field deployment
- Develop comprehensive automated software testing and reporting system for the entire robotic vehicle
- Develop Software-In The- Loop (SIL) and Hardware-In The-Loop (HIL) test and verification systems
- Work closely with functional teams to test and verify robotic aircraft
- 3-5 years of experience
- Bachelors in CS, CE, or EE, or requisite experience
- Strong Python and scripting background
- Experience with Linux operating system and software development tools
- Experience developing automated test software systems
- Experience in a collaborative development environment, focused on continuous integration/delivery & test-driven development
- Demonstrated record of working hard, strong communication skills, being a trustworthy teammate, and being kind to others
- Masters in CS, CE, or EE
- Robotics/UAV software test experience
- Previous software test development utilizing Jira and git
- Avionics test software development experience
- Automated Testing experience
- Operating System build and test experience
