The Shiawassee County Road Commission is seeking a Deputy Director of Finance and Human Resources to manage day-to-day financial operations and HR functions. This hands-on position focuses on accounts payable, inventory management, and payroll backup, while supporting leadership with broader finance and HR reporting. Experience with boards is a plus!
- Full-cycle accounts payable processing
- Inventory tracking and control
- Payroll backup and reporting support
- General ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with audits, budgets, and financial reports
- Support HR functions, including onboarding and benefits
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting/finance (public sector preferred)
- Experience with accounts payable, inventory, and/or payroll
- Familiarity with governmental accounting is a plus
- Experience supporting a board or governing body is a plus
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
