Our client, a well-established and growing local CPA firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed CPA who enjoys working in a collaborative, client-focused environment and handling a diverse portfolio of individual and business tax clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for:
• Individuals (1040)
• Corporations (C-Corp)
• S Corporations
• Partnerships, trusts, and other entities as needed
• Conduct tax planning and advisory services for individuals and business clients
• Research tax issues and stay current on changing tax laws and regulations
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide guidance
• Assist clients with notices, audits, and tax authority correspondence
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend proactive strategies
• Support year-end tax projections and quarterly estimated payments
• Collaborate with firm leadership on client service initiatives and process improvements
  
  

Requirements

• Active CPA license required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5 years of public accounting tax experience preferred
• Strong experience preparing 1040, Corporate, and S Corporation returns
• Knowledge of current federal and state tax laws
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy season
