Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliation, and management reporting. This role will partner across the business to ensure data integrity, provide meaningful financial insights, and support operational decision-making within a growing and collaborative organization offering strong professional development.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and execute month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting.
- Conduct variance analysis and communicate key insights, trends, and findings to leadership.
- Reconcile bank accounts and major general ledger accounts with supporting documentation and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits through preparation of schedules and requested documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure complete and accurate financial data.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across accounting operations, including close, AP/AR, and reporting.
- Assist with additional reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred or in progress.
- 2 years of accounting experience, ideally including experience with a nationally recognized public accounting firm (Top 20).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and functions).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow in a collaborative environment.
