A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk to join its accounting team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering approximately 20–25 hours per week in a collaborative, low-stress office environment. The ideal candidate will have prior accounts payable or general accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the flexibility to assist with administrative support as needed.
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process payments while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional customer service.
- Provide backup reception and scheduling support as needed.
- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as assigned.
- Previous Accounts Payable or general accounting experience required.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software is preferred; training will be provided on the company's system.
Sherpa offers benefits to contract employees who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time employee (30 weekly hours/ 130 hours per month) to be eligible
