We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing and AP Specialist to join our small but collaborative accounting team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely billing and accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, has strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process approximately 400 vendor invoices per month with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Manage and reconcile 1,500–1,800 credit card transactions monthly
• Prepare and issue customer invoices in a timely manner
• Review and verify invoices and payment requests for appropriate documentation and approvals
• Code expenses to proper GL accounts and departments
• Maintain vendor files and ensure accurate records in the accounting system
• Assist with month-end close by preparing AP reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and billing discrepancies
• Support the Controller and broader accounting team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required
• 2 years of experience in accounts payable, billing, or general accounting
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
