Join our clients team as an Assistant Plant Controller, where you’ll play a key role in driving accuracy, compliance, and financial insight across our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, local regulations, and corporate accounting policies
- Manage the monthly closing process, ensuring general ledger accuracy and timely reporting
- Partner with the Plant Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and five-year strategic planning
- Lead the annual standard cost setting process and maintain accurate product cost data
- Support new part cost development and job order variance analysis
- Monitor inventory costing and ensure data integrity in all related systems
- Analyze and explain spending variances, partnering with department managers to control costs
- Provide financial analysis for capital projects, cost reduction, and other key initiatives
- Prepare and present financial insights for monthly leadership meetings
- Complete account reconciliations, SOX compliance tasks, and support SEC and tax reporting packages
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Proven experience in manufacturing finance or plant accounting
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operations and management teams
