We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a growing team in the Cornelius area. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and sub-ledgers
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data
- Partner cross-functionally to support operational and financial initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
