About the Role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our team as a receptionist with a clear pathway to Office Manager within six months. This is an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while becoming an integral part of a high-performing, patient-focused team.
Schedule
- Primary commitment: Tuesdays, 9 – 2pm (required)
- Additional hours available Monday, Wednesday or Thursday or Friday for a few hours each week
- Potential for occasional flexibility based on office needs
Compensation:
$16-22/hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and answer phone calls, emails, and voicemails with professionalism
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist in coordinating treatment providers’ calendars
- Process patient payments and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Maintain office cleanliness, room turnover, and inventory management
- Run end-of-day reports and balance daily ledgers
- Track patient follow-ups and proactively support retention
- Contribute to our social media presence and marketing outreach
- Assist in planning and executing community events
- Handle administrative duties such as office procedures
- Support Dr. Sherman and the team with special projects and initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma required; additional education in office administration or healthcare is a plus
- Prior experience in a receptionist or admin role; healthcare experience preferred but not necessary
- Discretion and respect for patient confidentiality (HIPAA awareness is essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; friendly, clear, and professional
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word
- A team player with the ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
- Flexibility in schedule and attitude with a willingness to pitch in wherever needed
