Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for managing insurance claims, ensuring timely reimbursements, and resolving billing discrepancies to support the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
-Review, submit, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure prompt payment
-Investigate and resolve denied or rejected claims
-Post payments and adjustments accurately in billing systems
-Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and discrepancies
-Work closely with billing, coding, and clinical staff to resolve account issues
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account records
-Generate AR reports and track outstanding balances
-Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
-2 years of medical accounts receivable or healthcare billing experience
-Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD codes, and insurance processes
-Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing systems
-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
-Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
Compensation:
$24.00 - $26.00 (Based off experience)
