Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our Surgical Services department on a part-time basis. The CNA will assist with patient preparation, basic clinical tasks, and overall support for the surgical care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including transport and hygiene needs
• Provide basic patient care such as bathing, positioning, and monitoring vital signs
• Assist with postoperative care and discharge support under RN direction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of surgical suites and patient care areas
• Transport patients and equipment as needed
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Active CNA certification in the State of Michigan (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Previous experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Flexible and dependable with attention to detail.
