Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our Surgical Services department on a part-time basis. The CNA will assist with patient preparation, basic clinical tasks, and overall support for the surgical care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including transport and hygiene needs
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing, positioning, and monitoring vital signs
- Assist with postoperative care and discharge support under RN direction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of surgical suites and patient care areas
- Transport patients and equipment as needed
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Active CNA certification in the State of Michigan (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Previous experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Flexible and dependable with attention to detail.
