Primary Care Physician Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment
- Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and routine screening examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order, perform, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up care as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts
- Engage with community organizations and healthcare partners to support population health
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and infection control standards

Qualifications:- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or related primary care field
- Active Michigan medical license required
- DEA registration required
- Minimum of 1 year of primary care experience preferred
- Experience in rural or community-based healthcare preferred
- Strong diagnostic, clinical judgment, and patient-centered care skills
