Sheridan Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians eager to fully utilize their surgical and anesthesia expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.

  • Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.

  • Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.

This role is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about anesthesia and are ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.

This is a part-time position with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

  • Compensation: $20-25 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $2,000
  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Michigan
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Surgical set up and assisting
    • Anesthesia maintenance and monitoring
    • Inpatient care
    • Intubation
