What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permanent Substitute (School Designated Guest Teacher) Shepherdsville Elementary- SES (2026 - 2027) position at Shepherdsville Elementary School?
This is a full-time position with benefits. The School Designated Guest Teacher (permanent substitute) will report to the school each instructional day (187 day contract: 170 instructional days, 7 Bullitt Days, 4 Professional Learning Days, Teacher Opening and closing Days 4 paid holidays = 187 days). The SDGT will be assigned to a school location and perform the instructional and classroom management processes for teachers who are absent within the school.
(* Travel requirement: If there are no teacher absences at the assigned school on a particular day, the SDGT may be required to fill a teacher absence at another school location that day.
Minimum requirement: Must have a Bachelor's Degree
**Salary is a "DAILY RATE" based on the board approved salary schedule for the 2026-2027 school year!

Health Insurance (employee monthly premium based on plan selected)

Personal Leave not used in school year rolls over to sick leave
Earn 2 more sick days if you do not use any sick leave during school year
