Job Summary
Shepard’s Plumbing & Septic is seeking a dependable, motivated Apprentice Plumber to assist with residential and light commercial plumbing work, as well as septic pumping and system installs, repairs, and maintenance. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role intended for someone interested in building a long-term career in the skilled trades.
This position offers on-the-job training under experienced professionals with opportunities to grow in responsibility and pay based on performance, reliability, and skill development. Prior plumbing or septic experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with plumbing installations, repairs, and service calls
- Support septic system installations, repairs, inspections, and maintenance
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment
- Dig, trench, and perform other manual labor as required for plumbing and septic work
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
- Represent the company professionally while on job sites and with customers
- Perform other duties as assigned as skills and experience grow
