Job Description:
We are a small, established law firm in Shelton, Connecticut, seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional who is comfortable managing cases from start to finish and working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing workers’ compensation files from intake through resolution
- Drafting and filing legal documents with the Workers’ Compensation Commission
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
- Scheduling hearings, depositions, and medical appointments
- Assisting attorneys with trial and hearing preparation
- Ensuring files are accurate, organized, and up to date
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience in workers’ compensation law (required)
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures and deadlines
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred (but not required):
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
