Cellino Law LLP is seeking a skilled and motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing team in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury litigation in both Connecticut and New York, or those who are highly motivated to expand their legal knowledge and practice in both jurisdictions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters independently, from initial client intake through trial or settlement
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Attend court appearances, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members
- Provide top-tier legal representation in maximizing results for clients
Qualifications:
- 2 to 10 years of experience handling personal injury cases
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Connecticut and New York, or actively working toward dual licensure
- Prior experience in both jurisdictions is strongly preferred; however, candidates with deep experience in one state and a commitment to developing proficiency in the other are encouraged to apply
- Strong litigation and courtroom skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
Salary / Bonus Package:
- Base Salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 depending on experience and qualifications (minimum 2 years). in addition to base salary, attorneys receive a performance based bonus compensation for each resolved case. Bonuses are paid to attorneys on a monthly basis.
- For a realistic view of total compensation potential, in 2024, among our attorneys who have been with the firm for at least one full year and were on the same performance based compensation structure as offered in this position, annual bonuses ranged from $47,000 to $359,000 per year with an average of $159,000.
