JOB Description: Maintenance Technician – Non-Exempt Employee
STATUS: Part Time
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
Job Summary:
The maintenance technician assists with routine maintenance procedures, troubleshoots issues as they arise, and assists with the management of supplies to ensure the safety and functionality of the facilities, vehicles and resources used to support the agency’s mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Survey buildings on a routine basis; identify and resolve potential issues
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, repair windows, etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks (e.g. lawn mowing, painting, carpentry, etc.)
- Keep required documentation up to date to ensure compliance with agency, federal and state guidelines
- Maintain a schedule of routine maintenance and capital repairs for all properties and grounds and schedules outside vendors as appropriate
- Follow agency guidelines for policy, procedure and safety.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to squat, bend and do overhead reaching and lifting
- Ability to life up to 30 pounds and complete light maintenance work
- Ability to walk for long periods of time
- Tolerate working in a cooler/freezer
Pay: $20.00 per hour
