Front Desk Coordinator

The Front Desk Coordinator creates a positive experience for each patient, family member, visitor and team member at Sheltering Arms Institute. The incumbent will provide navigation support to visitors.
This is a PRN position working 3 evening per week on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays from 5p-7p, and occasional weekends from 11:30a-7p. There will be an opportunity to pick up additional shifts as available.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and manage visitors according to hospital policy
- Explain visitation policy and answer family member questions as needed
- Screen visitors as they enter the hospital following established COVID protocols
- Receive patient admissions
- Answer phone and direct calls
- Aid patients, team members and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Required Qualifications:- High school diploma/GED
- 1 years of customer service experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and problem-solve in a busy environment
- Must be flexible and able to function within a team
- Basic computer skills and experience with a multi-line phone
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior front desk experience
- Prior experience working in healthcare environment especially in a hospital setting
