Cashier/Customer Service Representative

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
• Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an inviting shopping environment
• Assist with stocking, inventory management, and replenishing products on the sales floor
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely when needed
• Support supervising staff during busy periods or when assigned supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers in a bilingual environment is a plus
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for sales calculations
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable
• Proven customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and stock management is advantageous
• Prior supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
