Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the facility and detect any suspicious behavior
- Control access to the premises by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents or emergencies using conflict management skills and first aid knowledge when necessary
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during critical situations or investigations
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR to effectively assist in medical emergencies
- Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Familiarity with security protocols and emergency response procedures
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public
