Overview

Duties
- Safely operate tractor- dump trailers, and tankers, during local delivery runs.
- Load and unload agriculture commodities on local farms
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure or upon return
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and current medical certification
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) preferred but not required; willingness to obtain Hazmat endorsement if necessary
- Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform manual handling tasks safely
- On-Farm or Agriculture hauling experience preferred
- Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous goods handling standards
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence
