An Orthodox Jewish family is seeking a dependable, thorough housekeeper for regular cleaning and laundry assistance in our home. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, respects our privacy, and would like a steady, ongoing arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Clean kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common living areas.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop.
- Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry.
- Change bedding and maintain household linens.
- Assist with general tidying and light organization.
- Help prepare the home for Shabbos and Jewish holidays.
- Follow instructions for cleaning and maintaining a kosher kitchen.
- Handle household belongings and cleaning supplies with care.
Qualifications
- Previous residential housekeeping experience preferred.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and communicate clearly.
- Comfortable working in a home with a young child and a cat.
- Respectful of household customs, personal belongings, and confidentiality.
- References preferred.
Kosher Household
Experience in a kosher home is helpful but not required. We will explain our household practices, including keeping meat and dairy dishes, utensils, and cleaning items separate. Applicants of all backgrounds are welcome; willingness to follow these instructions is essential.
Schedule and Pay
Regular weekly help, preferably Thursdays and/or Fridays. Specific hours, frequency, and compensation will be agreed upon before starting, based on experience and the duties involved.
