RN / LPN Charge Nurse

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse (LPN) or (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be skilled in various nursing practices. This role requires a proactive approach to patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

CURRENT SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

- 2nd shift 2:15pm-10:45pm (LPN or RN)

-Baylor Supervisor: 6am-6pm (RN ONLY)

SHIFT DIFFRENTIALS:

2nd shift: $6

3rd shift: $7

Baylor: $10.50

Duties

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate health status.
• Assist with daily living activities for patients, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians and registered nurses to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
• Perform wound care, IV insertion, catheterization, and other nursing procedures as needed.
• Participate in triage and emergency response situations when required.
• Support patients with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and geriatrics.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.

Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Long-term care or assisted living settings
• Hospital experience (Emergency room, OR, inpatient)
• Home care or hospice care
• Medical office experience
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth)
• License to practice nursing in Alabama (required)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $42.75 per hour
