Overall Purpose: Why the Job Exists & What You Will Do:

As the Production Associate, you will assemble and install after-market products, utilizing some or all of the skills and tools needed to ensure the product is meeting on-time, quality, delivery, and output goals established by the Company.

Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role

  • High-Quality, Efficient Assembly done On-Time: 100 % of the Job
  • Transports chassis from the yard to the production line in alignment with the production schedule.
  • Reads and interprets work orders, blueprints, and diagrams to complete upfit projects accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepares vehicles for installation by removing factory badging, OEM plastics, seats, and other components as specified in work orders.
  • Fits, mounts, wires, and secures components such as seating, lighting, electronic systems or specialty parts to deliver safe, functional, and high-quality installations.
  • Installs, modifies, and services suspension systems, including lifting and lowering trucks to meet specifications and customer expectations for performance and appearance.
  • Assists with engine modifications, including installing superchargers and related performance components to enhance vehicle capability and maintain manufacturer quality standards.
  • Performs alignment on the vehicle to ensure quality and efficiency of the vehicle.
  • Conducts Dynamometer testing to ensure the supercharge process is accurate.
  • Inspects all completed work to verify compliance with quality standards and customer requirements before delivery.
  • Diagnoses and performs necessary repairs, as needed, to ensure a high-quality product aligned to the customer’s expectations.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment to reduce hazards, improve efficiency, and meet OSHA requirements.
  • Collaborates with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production goals and ensure timely project completion.
  • Documents work performed and reports any issues, delays, or material shortages to support accurate records and prevent production interruptions.
  • Assists with material handling, staging, and inventory of components to maintain workflow efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, increase productivity, and improve product quality.
  • Collaborates with team members to create enhanced solutions to obstacles that arise to keep projects moving forward and maintain delivery timelines.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
  • Experience: 1 years of experience in RV, Trailer, Automotive, Suspension, or Upfitting work strongly preferred; will train the right person who is mechanically inclined. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices; Dynamometer, suspension, wiring, electrical, and/or engine modification experience preferred.
  • Certification(s): Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Functional Skills: Basic mechanical skills or abilities; high attention to detail with an ability to read, understand, and apply procedures, specifications, and blue prints. Basic math and measurement skills are required. Critical thinking to solve issues independently or getting assistance to ensure accuracy and quality of work is important. Ability to self-inspect work and make corrections prior to moving the vehicle to the next point. Will teach in other higher skilled areas, as needed.

Equipment Used:

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, electronic devices, photocopiers, filing systems/cabinets and fax machines.
  • This role frequently uses basic hand tools and other equipment to operate and/or perform maintenance and/or repairs on equipment.
  • This role routinely operates heavy equipment, machinery or general facility equipment.

Physical Requirements to Perform Essential Functions:

  • Ability to sit and operate motorized equipment frequently
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate hand tools/equipment and machinery frequently
  • Ability to operate keyboard and view computer screen occasionally
  • Ability to write ideas/information in a logical flow occasionally
  • Cognitive and reasoning ability to read, review and interpret work orders or processes on a frequent basis
  • Ability to read small print and respond due to nature of the work on a frequent basis
  • Vision requirements include: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to talk and communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer frequently
  • Ability to listen to others, problem-solve, and respond frequently
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, squat, twist, push, pull, and carry items frequently
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. sporadically

Environmental Conditions & Travel:

  • This position is regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment where the noise level is moderate to high.
  • The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment such as hard hats and safety glasses.
  • The position may face exposure to some high-heat areas; variances in temperature; exposure to smells, fumes, working around mechanical parts frequently
  • This position may face inclement weather conditions when traveling
  • Travel: Limited; less than 10%.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
