What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Coordinator (Full-Time) position at Shelby Eastern Schools?
SUMMARY: To assist with the operations, oversight and record keeping associated with the transportation of students at Shelby Eastern Schools
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing transportation software; Routing students and drivers
- Assist with scheduling fleet maintenance and coordinating repairs.
- Maintain bus driver records database and CDL/Yellow Card renewals
- Oversight and compliance of DOT drug testing program and records.
- Coordination of athletic trips and field trips with building principals and Athletic Directors
- Recruitment and training of new bus drivers
- Reviewing and collecting driver time sheets and fuel receipts
- State reporting ( School Bus Inventory)
- Assist with coordination of annual safety drills
- Assist the Superintendent in resolving transportation issues as they arise
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with word processing, and data spreadsheet applications
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance is a plus
- Holding or willingness to hold a yellow card is a plus
- Function as part of a team in a small office setting
ANTICIPATED COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- Full Time Status. 205 contract days per year.

- Indiana PERF Position
- Starting pay approx. $20.00/hr.
