Job description
Shelby County Newsmedia, Inc. has an immediate need for a highly motivated, creative graphic designer to join its award-winning team. Candidates must be proficient in all Creative Suite products, especially InDesign and Photoshop.
The ideal candidate would have experience in newspaper and/or magazine design and understand the demands of a fast-paced newsroom environment with a bachelor's degree or higher. Qualified applicants should be goal-oriented, team players, well organized and trainable.
Compensation plan includes base weekly salary, health/dental insurance, 401(k), paid life and disability insurance, retirement plan, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
Shelby County Newsmedia, Inc., an award-winning media company experiencing continued growth, publishes three weekly hyperlocal community newspapers, 10 lifestyle magazines, several niche products and utilizes digital media. Boone Newsmedia, Inc. also houses its design center out of the Shelby County Newsmedia office, leading to other design growth for one of the premier local media companies in the country.
