Contractors Are Hiring Experienced HVAC Service Technicians!
Multiple contractors are seeking Experienced HVAC Service Technicians to join their teams. These positions offer excellent wages, employer-paid healthcare, a health reimbursement account (HRA), overtime after 8 hours worked, and employer contributions to two pension plans.
General Requirements

Electrical Requirements
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (required for handling all refrigerants)
- Skilled in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and diagnostics
Equipment Familiarity
Technicians should be comfortable working on or with:
- Liebert units
- RTUs
- Built-up air systems
- VAV (Variable Air Volume) systems
- Packaged and hydronic heat pumps
- VRF systems — service and/or install
Fans, Motors, and Pumps:
- Motor bearing replacement
- Pump seal and bearing assembly repairs
- Supply, return, and exhaust systems
Controls:
- Basic navigation of building control systems
- Ability to test inputs/outputs and interpret results
- Understanding of system sequences of operation
Technical Understanding & Core Experience:
- VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) operation and troubleshooting (not startup-level)
- Refrigeration circuit knowledge
- Economizer troubleshooting and retrofit (Jade and/or Belimo)
- Cooling towers and O6D compressors
- Brazing and soldering techniques
Preferred / Bonus Skills:
- Valid LEB (Limited Energy License)
- Boilers & Hydronics: Proficient in maintaining and repairing high- and low-pressure steam and hot water boiler systems.
- Chillers & Industrial Cooling Systems: Experienced in servicing large-scale high- and low-pressure chillers used in commercial facilities.
- Control Systems: Proficient in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and computerized climate controls to enhance energy efficiency.
- Electrical & Troubleshooting: Advanced ability to interpret wiring, circuits, and voltage for safe, complex system work.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Journeyman-level HVAC technician with several (7) years of documented field experience.
- Preferred Experience: 7 years of general HVAC install background, including at least 3 years specializing in boilers or chillers.
- Continuing Education: Must stay current on new low-GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants such as R-32 and R-454B. Offered through our training institute
