As an Auto Technician, you’ll work alongside our Mechanic to support the daily operation and maintenance of the Sheriff’s Office fleet. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing preventative maintenance including:
- Oil changes
- Fluid checks
- Tire rotations and replacements
- Greasing and lubrication services
- Basic exhaust component replacement
- Assisting with minor vehicle repairs such as:
- Brake pad and drum replacement
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
- Simple body repair and cosmetic fixes
- Conducting daily mileage checks and maintain vehicle service records
- Cleaning and detailing fleet vehicles to maintain a professional appearance
- Support parts and supply inventory management
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized garage environment
- Follow all safety procedures and safe-work practices
- Respond to urgent fleet maintenance needs to support emergency operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
