Job Title: Safety Manager

Rate: $50–$52/hr
Mileage: $0.77/mile for travel between sites (must provide own vehicle)
Per Diem: Not available
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Project Scope
This assignment supports GC safety oversight for multiple steel erection projects across the Detroit metro area. The Safety Manager will travel between 5–10 sites weekly, ensuring consistent application of safety programs, documentation, and compliance with all OSHA standards.
- Conducting daily job site safety audits and hazard assessments across multiple locations
- Leading toolbox talks, JHAs, and safety meetings at each project site
- Coordinating with field teams and subcontractors to maintain safe operations
- Preparing and submitting safety reports, observations, and corrective actions
- Enforcing OSHA, site-specific, and client safety protocols across all projects
Qualifications
BCSP credential preferred (STSC, CHST, ASP, or CSP)
OSHA 500/510 required with 5 years of field safety experience, or
Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field with 3 years of experience
Strong communication and reporting skills
Must have reliable transportation for multi-site coverage
Comprehensive understanding of OSHA 1926 Construction standards, with emphasis on:
- Steel erection and structural operations
- Rigging and critical lift procedures
- Fall protection and aerial lift operations
- Job hazard analysis (JHA) and corrective action reporting
- Multi-site safety coordination and documentation management
