What We’re Looking For
SHAZAM is looking for a Billing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex billing operations, ensuring billing accuracy, maintaining special pricing programs, and supporting financial reporting activities.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain billing accuracy by researching, analyzing, and resolving billing discrepancies, adjustments, and special pricing arrangements.
- Administer customer pricing incentives, billing configurations, and service specifications to ensure accurate invoicing and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Conduct billing audits and monitor exception reports related to fees, taxes, customer accounts, and billing processes.
- Lead sales tax compliance efforts, including tax calculations, filings, and periodic reviews of tax matrices and billing practices.
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support accounts receivable activities.
- Maintain current procedures and documentation, support cross-functional training initiatives, and provide operational backup coverage as needed.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure billing integrity, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
- Minimum of 7 years of bookkeeping, billing, accounting, or related financial operations experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with billing systems, reconciliations, audits, and accounts receivable processes preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze complex data, and collaborate effectively across departments.
